Executive Coaching is an ongoing relationship that focuses on the client taking action toward the realization of their business goals and desires. The executive must be ready, willing and able to take action and accept full responsibility for the outcomes of his/her actions. Given that, the executive must understand that the coach does not assume the role of:

- vocational specialist or career advisor
- personality or character analyst
- on-job mentor
